Wren Small Lidded Round Seagrass Basket

Handcrafted, small lidded snake charmer basket, made by artisanal craftspeople of Vietnam. A great size for storing your little luxuries, this piece is small but sturdy. Using age-old techniques in traditional basket-making techniques, this natural seagrass basket is wrapped and woven in white binding to create the unique pattern. When the makers pick the seagrass from the fields, it starts off a vivid green, as it dries, it turns into the beautifully soft neutral colour you see here. Being entirely handmade, no two will be the same, each basket is unique and may differ slightly from piece to piece, we feel these different characteristics remind us of the humble and charming process each basket goes through.
